de Mérode

The “de Mérode” project is the long-awaited redevelopment of the historic site of the princely de Merode family in Ixelles. In addition to the meticulous restoration of the former city palace, the site will be enhanced with three new volumes in a purified architectural design inspired by 20th century Art Nouveau. Around the generous interior garden, which acts as a resting point and extension of the adjacent Tenbosch Park, the project introduces a diverse collection of new, refined apartments.

The protected monument was built in 1924 and now, after years of deterioration, has a new future ahead of it. For its hundredth birthday ‘The Grand’ will be reinstated as a trusty getaway to stimulate the senses, evoke times gone by and create lasting memories.
